Watch the difference
9:25 — five five-minute steps.
9:05 — five actual minutes.
A duration of five minutes, not a clock time.
Hours & half past
Say 兩點 for 2:00, not 二點. 十二點 (12:00) still uses 二.
Make simple plans
The short form uses five-minute steps. For other minutes, use the exact-minute form, for example 九點十七分 (9:17). In the quests, both equivalent forms are valid Cantonese; the prompt tells you which one to practise.
